in 2021, i was the head of social & community at sunwink—a food and beverage brand on a mission to reconnect people to the healing powers of the earth. knowing that sunwink products were positioned as wellness products, we knew that consumers encountering the brand for the first time could have preconceived notions about the sunwink purpose and products—especially with certain narratives being pushed by the health and wellness industry. um, i’m talking to you annual weight-loss challenges.
we wanted to get the people to re-think what ‘wellness’ actually means. as a team, we developed a brand campaign as an encouraging reminder to the world that when wellness feels a bit complicated, you can always just stick to plants. i built out the brand’s social media and content strategy, focused on increasing brand awareness, telling meaningful stories, and educating our audience on sunwink products.

WELLNESS IS…
to support sunwink’s mission in ‘redefining wellness’, i launched a social media campaign called ‘wellness is’—a series of personal stories from creators sharing what wellness looks like for them in their everyday life. the goal was to get different perspectives from various people to further push the narrative that wellness doesn’t look the same for everyone.
